Most structures are unique. What they all have in common, however, is the fundamental and legally established requirement to ensure structural safety. Consequently, almost every construction project requires an independent review of the structural engineering documents relevant to the approval process in order to comply with building regulations – rather than addressing deficiencies only after damage has occurred or disputes have arisen. In Germany, the well-established system of independent verification by experienced experts and checking engineers ensures that structural deficiencies are identified during the design stage, preventing costly errors during construction. Leroy Zimmermann, M.Sc., is committed to upholding this responsibility.
Safety and Reliability
As an Officially Recognized Expert for Structural Safety (Concrete Structures), Leroy Zimmermann performs independent reviews of structural design calculations and construction documents for reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, and masonry structures in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and building regulations. The review covers the verification of structural safety, serviceability, and durability of the structure, as well as the stability of the supporting ground where relevant and the structural aspects of fire safety.
The scope of services includes the review of structural documentation during the design phase as well as selective inspections during construction. This ensures that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory and technical requirements.
