The office building in Düsseldorf’s inner city is taking shape
While the shell construction along Schadowstrasse has already visibly risen to the 2nd floor, below the 1st underground level the last spectacular excavation and structural engineering work has started according to plan. In the current stage of construction, over 100 primary columns secure the whole building. This allows the floors that are being added to be dug out completely underground. The engineers of Schüßler-Plan have been tasked with the implementation planning and the construction and logistics man-
agement so that the shell construction of the lowest floor of the office building and the adjoining underground car park is completed by the spring of 2019. In particular the inner-city and underground logistics is key. The progress of the construction work is reviewed and optimised daily. Starting with the site investigation and the foundation pit and structural planning, Schüßler-Plan has been a part of this inner-city construction project from the outset.

Awarded lead planning contract for U5 Mitte in Hamburg
Hamburg is getting a new underground line: 13 km across Hamburg’s inner city, 14 to 17 underground stops, one of which directly below the Central Station. These are the key details of the new underground line U5 Mitte, which will run in future from City Nord via Central Station past the university to the city rail stop Stellingen. After a successful feasibility study, Schüßler-Plan was awarded as the technical lead of the U5 Mitte engineering consortium the contract for the lead planning for the entire inner-city line.

Out now: plan11
plan11 seems to fall out of alignment because its topic is not about a certain core competence or performance range: This time we focus on our regional presence in 19 German and two international cities as on our 850 team member strong workforce. Over the last six decades Schüßler-Plan developed from an one-man office for statics into one of Germany's leading owner-operated engineering companies. This magazin is both a snapshot of the current situation and a review of our history. Enjoy your reading!
Futurium Berlin wins another award
The Futurium is a plus-energy building from the viewpoint of primary energy located in Berlin’s government district. The architecture was designed by Richter Musikowski, Schüßler-Plan was responsible for the structural planning. The Futurium has now won the Bauwelt Award 2019 in the category “First Works”. The award covers all types of first works realised by the candidate itself. At the end of last year the Futurium was one of the finalists for the DGNB’s Sustainable Building Award.
The structural engineering office in Düsseldorf established in 1958 has today become a company with 850 employees, 21 locations and a comprehensive range of services. You can find the highlights of six decades of Schüßler-Plan on the microsite 60jahrezukunftplanen.de; this will still be available after our anniversary year.
